Tynedale Chess Club – Juniors 

Tynedale Chess Club is a friendly club which welcomes junior members. Those aged under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult, at least to begin with. Juniors can play friendly games with our members and can expect help and advice. They can also take part, if they wish, in our club championship which runs for most of the season and which has once been won by a junior player. And they have access to an extensive library of chess books.

The Northumberland Junior Chess Association (NJCA) and the English Chess Federation (ECF) both run events for Juniors.
